Originally from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Jennifer Watkins is a 23 year old math teacher at Blackman.

She is in graduate school at Bethel University, where she received her undergraduate degree in mathematics and is currently earning her masters in K-12 education.  

She said she decided to pursue a career as a teacher because “[her] ninth grade teacher inspired me; she showed me that math can be fun.”

Her favorite thing about Blackman is the school spirit and uplifting environment.

Outside of the classroom, Watkins is passionate about living a healthy lifestyle.  She enjoys activities such as running and swimming. At home, she spends time with her husband and pet dog, a black lab named Stella.
