I’m a senior, and my pronouns are she/they. My hobbies are gaming, listening to music, and hopefully reading (I’m getting back into it again). My favorite TV show is Gilmore Girls; I’ve watched it 12 times! I’m willing to listen to all types of music, but my favorite artists are BTS, Lovejoy, Bo Burnham, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Derivakat. I want to be a music producer, and I plan to go to MTSU for audio production. My pathway is Journalism/Communications. My goal for this school year is to start focusing more on my mental health and schoolwork rather than video games. My goal for The Blackman Voice is to help everyone around the school receive information easily.

Seussical the Musical, was the first musical in my entire life. Despite my lack of experience and my shyness, it was a great place to be. The people, the energy during the rehearsals and the performances, Mr. Browder teaching us choreography, Mrs. Payne teaching us music, and the experience gained was unforgettable. I am not going to lie, it was stressful and frustrating sometimes, but I enjoyed every single part of it, and I would not change anything about this experience. I'll save the little snapshots in my mind forever.

I was scared and nervous that day, but I enjoyed every single part of it, and feel great for adding to diversity at Blackman.

Through performing arts I decided to make a change. During this presentation on the Variety Show of 2021, I had the opportunity to create diversity by singing in English and Spanish. Representing my Latino culture, without forgetting the country that opened doors for me.

Once on This Island debuts at Blackman. More information about cast, crew, and the show in the Playbill. Remaining shows are Friday (senior night) at 7 pm and Saturday at 2 pm. $5 admission for students and $10 general public.
