Couples have two options: break up or stay together forever. These celebrities didn’t make it work with their partners in 2023, and some of the break ups are messy.
The Swifties (Taylor Swift’s fans) received news that Swift had broken up with Joe Alwyn after six years together. She didn’t wait long before getting into a supposed relationship with Matt Healy, frontman of the rock band The 1975. Fans were shocked more with this choice given the past Healy has made for himself. Swift is now going out with NFL player Travis Kelce. While Swift may not have the best dating history, her break ups are better than this next celebrity couple.
In the news recently, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have confirmed their divorce after four years of marriage. They had two daughters together. The divorce has been broadcast to most of the United States. After the divorce was announced, Turner sued Jonas to return their two children to her in England. She stated that he wouldn’t turn over the children’s passports.
For older fans in the media, they were shocked by the announcement of Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness’ split. They lasted nearly three decades. The couple stated that they were on “different journeys.” They adopted two children together. However, Jackman and Furness remain close friends and not much has been reported to the public regarding their divorce.
Unlike the last split, this relationship was always in the media; for better or for worse. Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott have officially broken off their relationship. However, the trauma affected her and the relationship she had with Asghari. There were rumors of screaming matches and cheating, but the rumors were never confirmed. Asghari wishes Spears the best.
The final break up that will be discussed is Amy Slaton and Michael Halterman. Slaton was a part of the reality show “1000-lb Sisters” with her sister Tammy. Slaton eloped with Halterman in 2017 before their wedding in 2019. They welcomed two kids before their divorce. The split was reportedly “messy,” and Slaton called 911 on Halterman. He had allegedly become “violent” and started “throwing things.” Slaton had taken her sons and moved out of the shared home.
