Hardison STEM project
November 6th, 2017 all of the ships in Mr. Hardison’s 3rd period were ready for launch. The forces against them, the catapults. Were ready a few feet away to stop their advances to down the Blackman River. Dr. Justus came from her office to watch her namesake ship take the victory against all others.
Several students faced off against each other to sink each-others ships before they made it to the end of a man-made river. Equipped with its own currents, Mr. Hardison crafted a simulation current for all of his STEM classes to assist in their battle down the river.
“The project was very hard and very challenging, but we pulled it all together and really worked as a team” commented BHS 10th grader Baileigh Snow.
Most ships stood the test of time and made it down the river multiple times without sinking. A few catapults failed their mission and unfortunately broke.
Many students, proud of their achievements, boasted to their classmates and took pictures with their boats and catpults.
