Rutherford Country Christmas Tree Lighting 

When: Dec. 1st @ 6 p.m. 

Where: Murfreesboro Downtown Square 

Cost: Free

Parade of Lights 

When: Dec. 2nd @ 6 p.m. 

Where: Veterans Memorial Park to City Hall 

Cost: Free 

The parade begins at Veterans Memorial Park and ends at City Hall, where the tree lighting ceremony and a fireworks show will take place. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served while the La Vergne High School Coraller’s traditionally perform holiday songs.  Rumor has it that Santa and Mrs. Clause may stop by for a visit as well. For more information: https://www.lavergnetn.gov/237/Parade-of-Lights 

 

Hollyday Marketplace 

When: Dec. 2nd @ 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. 

Where: Tennessee Miller Coliseum  

Cost: Varies 

Aside from the 80+ vendors, the North Pole activities will include Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Clause, READ 20 Book Patrol with the Murfreesboro Police Department, Santa Snaps sponsored by Smith Studios Photography, and Santa’s Workshop sponsored by Faithful Strokes. For more information: https://hollydaymarketplace.weebly.com/ 

 

Smyrna Christmas Parade 

When: Dec. 3rd @ 2 p.m.
Where: Lowry Street area 

Cost: Free 

Folks of all ages will gather along Lowry Street in anticipation of the arrival of floats, bands, classic cars, Clydesdales, dancers and, of course, Santa Claus as they glide down Lowry Street toward Sam Ridley Parkway.
