February is finally over, and it is now time to choose Artist of the Month. BHS offers many great choices, but we narrowed it down to four, all nominated by their teachers.
The contestants this month are Jania Boddie, Kayla Zuck, Savannah O’Kelley, and Katie Hartman, juniors.
Jania Boddie was nominated by Noi Woodruff, art teacher.

“Jania [Boddie] is an outstanding student who is enrolled in both Drawing & Painting and AP Studio Art classes. She is dependable; rarely absent, and turns work in on time. She spends countless hours and turns in high-quality, amazing work.” said Woodruff.
Sherry Febles, theatre teacher, nominated Kayla Zuck.
“Kayla [Zuck] possesses qualities that are rare in someone so young. She is a very talented individual, yet maintains a level of humility that is admirable,” stated Febles.
Diane Brewer, dance team sponsor, nominated both Katie Hartman and Savannah O’Kelley after they both attended the Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts at MTSU in 2016.
