On Oct. 30, students and staff gathered n the main gym for our third pep rally of the school year. This pep rally celebrated our last home game of the regular season, as Blackman will be playing at home again this week in the first game of the playoffs.
The gym was packed with students in the stands wearing their class theme. Freshmen wore white, sophomores wore camo, juniors wore black and seniors were dressed up as “steeze.”
Students chanted for their class in excitement to win the spirit stick. During the battle of the spirit stick, students all did their class chant trying to be the loudest to see who has the most spirit. After a long loud battle, the Juniors won the stick.
“I was super happy that we won,” says Junior Kallie Schalow.
The game that night was also special due to it being senior night. Senior night is a special night dedicated to graduating seniors. They give a ceremony to them before the game starts. Seniors in band, football, dance or cheer team get escorted out by family members, receive gifts, and get recognized for things they have accomplished throughout their four years of high school.
“I’m excited about what college will bring me next year,” says senior, Ellie Hansen.
The pep rally made students excited for the home game against Rockvale, and for senior night celebrating all our seniors wrapping up the football season.
