On Oct. 23, the annual Track or Treat hosted by Blackman High School occurred. The Blackman community came together to celebrate Halloween on the track around the football field. Everyone dressed up and walked to different booths to get candy or prizes.
Students from different clubs passed out candy to elementary school kids during the event. “My favorite candy is Twix,” said Senior Talia.
The track had booths hosted by clubs and sports teams at Blackman High School. Some clubs that attended were HOSA, DECA, BSU, Spanish Club, Blaze Buddies, cheer team, dance team, and more.
The football field was decked out with Halloween decorations to set a spooky vibe. Balloons, pumpkins, and hay bales were scattered throughout the field, and there was a DJ booth that played music to which people danced. Everyone came together and did line dances throughout the whole night.
I asked Sophomore Layla Hockett how much fun she was having at Track or Treat, and she said, “1000.”
Track or Treat left students and staff excited for Halloween and ready to dress up in their costumes on Oct. 31. Thanks to students and staff, this year’s Track or Treat allowed everyone to make great memories and kick off.
