Nearly two decades have passed since “Twilight” came to an end. Nov. 16, 2012, Stephine Myers released “Breaking Dawn – Part 2,” the fifth and final film in the series, and fans were devastated. The series was loved not just for its movies but also for the book collection that had sold over 160 million copies worldwide. The movies were no exception either, with the first movie reaching almost $200 million in revenue.
On Thursday, Aug. 28, 2025, Lionsgate and Fathom Events revealed that ‘all five films will be screened over five consecutive nights starting Oct. 29,’ in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the original novel. “Twilight” also revealed on their official Instagram account that the revival screening of the series will take place.
Myers has shared her excitement about the re-release. “I couldn’t imagine a better way to celebrate this milestone than with all of you—the readers who made this story what it is,” she said.
Students from Blackman High School also expressed their excitement on the film coming back out. Janessa, a junior, stated, “I was so happy to hear that I could experience that feeling of watching twilight for the first time again.” Senior, Carlos Sobalvarro, was ecstatic about the news and said, “I refreshed the page five times to make sure it wasn’t a glitch.”
The cost of tickets ranges from $12 to $18. Fans have already started pre-ordering tickets for the movie.
Ultimately, the re-release of “The Twilight Saga” marks a major moment in cinematic nostalgia. This event gives people who have still, yet, to watch the movies a chance to experience the saga as it was meant to be seen—on the big screen.
