Unique gifts all in one stop at BHS
Did you know there is a shopping event coming up at your school? The Boro Business Expo is being held on Saturday, November 21. It is from 10:00am to 2:00pm at Blackman High School. BHS has never had an event like this.
Everyone is welcomed to come and shop. It is free admission as well, even more reason to come.
“We would like to provide a community event that supports local small businesses,” stated Megan Witherspoon, teacher at black man high school and planner for this event.
This is a great way to give back to local businesses. All businesses are going to be local. They are expecting 15 to 20 businesses.
Because it is the weekend before Thanksgiving, the Expo is the perfect opportunity to buy gifts for family and friends. There will be lots of different items. Some examples are candles, clothing, decorations, etc. You may even find stuff for your pets.
A few of the businesses that will be there are: Mayvens, Aspiring Nutrition, Joi and Compand, OTHA, Ella & Grade Designs, Shimmer & Pop, Lone Oak Wreath Design, and Peach Tulip Boutique.
“Our goal is to help local small businesses promote their products while also creating a convenient way for local consumers to show support,” stated Scott Lawless, assistant principal and coordinator for this event.
Small businesses were affected by the COVID-19, and shopping at this event could help them survive.
