Halloween at the Avenue
It seems the monsters and princesses decided to creep out earlier this Halloween.
The Avenue Murfreesboro hosted several events for Halloween on the Saturday before Halloween, providing an opportunity for children to dress up early and get candy. They consisted of a Fall Fest, Trick or Treat, and a Costume Parade. Ghouls, goblins, princesses, and even Freddy showed up in their best dressed to rack up on sweets.
As well as offering young kids a chance to trick or treat before All Hallows’ Eve, the event also provided a volunteer opportunity for the teens at Blackman High. Students on the Blackman Voice staff offered their services to help pass out candy to the children.
“It felt good volunteering for my community, and it was fun getting to see the kids in their costumes,” stated sports writer Molly Lemoine, junior.
Stay tuned for the next major event at The Avenue!
