What’s a President’s Association?

Calling all leaders to the forefront! Blackman has a pretty good selection of clubs, and a thoughtful way to represent the various voices of our student body is in the form of a President’s Association. The President’s Association, for those that are wondering, is an organization that serves to ensure that the many perspectives of all clubs are heard by the administration. The mission of the organization was described in good detail by Rhyan Lake, the student body president.
“The mission is to bring together all the presidents of all the clubs at Blackman so that there is a more cohesive club environment. It allows clubs to be better heard by Dr. Justus and voices what needs to be addressed,” she stated.
The club does not participate in any activities outside of school. They just meet once every nine weeks to talk with Dr. Justus and discuss what is taking place at the school.
In addition to describing the main objectives of the association, Rhyan also expressed what she liked best about it.
“I like that it brings in different perspectives of people at Blackman as a whole. The presidents serve as a representative for those voices,” she said.
Overall, this organization was created to serve as a platform for which the many concerns and ideas of the clubs at Blackman could be heard. Talk with your club president to better ensure that your concerns are voiced!
