BAM Book Fair at Blackman

Blackman is currently hosting a book fair sponsored by Books A Million.

The fair features a range of young adult novels and items that reflect current ‘pop culture’ fascinations.

Books A Million decided to create a teenager-focused fair because “there are complaints that teenagers aren’t getting to read enough of what they are interested in,” said Ariel, the store’s merchandising specialist.

The fair is selling paperbacks and hardcovers that fall into two categories: bargain and regular priced. The bargain books start range from three to ten dollars, and the regular priced are from $11 to $25.

There is also an array of journals, bookmarks, coloring books, and specialty items for sale.

You can pay with cash or card but not a check.

The fair is running from Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Thursday the fair will host a few young adult authors from the Se-Ya Book Fest.

Update:

Today is the last day of the fair, and a few authors came to speak with members of the Book Club and sign copies.

“It was really enlightening to hear about their thoughts during the writing process as well as their inspirations. It’s exciting to interact with them, especially for the Book Club, because a lot of us are aspiring writers,” said Madison Fabber, sophomore.
