Blood Drive

BHS’s Student Council is hosting a blood drive in the auxiliary gym on Friday, Feb. 26. 44 students have signed up so far, but there are 97 donor spots available.

“You come in and give blood. You’re on the table for about nine minutes, and then you’re back to class in about an hour,” said Garrett Noffsinger, senior.

If you are planning to donate blood this Friday, make sure you eat a good breakfast, bring a photo ID and parent permission form, and drink no energy drinks.

For those who work the blood drive, the process is much different.

“You come in and sign in with the overseer of the period, which is an ASP officer. Then you get positioned at the registration table, the sign in table, or the recovery table where we have snacks and drinks,” said Noffsinger.

Regardless of whether you are a Student Council member or a blood donor, taking part in the blood drive is always an easy way for BHS students to give back.
