Janie Whitaker is a senior and this is her first year in journalism. In addition to being a reporter for The Blackman Voice, she is the drum major of the Blackman Marching Band, Co-President of the National Honors Society, and member of the A Cappella Choir. In her free time, she likes to play tuba, drink sweet tea (no ice), and listen to music—Lizzy McAlpine, Journey, and Stevie Wonder being her favorite artists.
