On Friday, Aug. 22, students and staff all gathered in the main gym for the first pep rally of the school year celebrating the kickoff to the football season. The game that night was at Clarksville High School.
The gym was filled with students dressed in their designated color for their theme. Seniors wore black, juniors wore camo, sophomores wore pink, and freshmen wore blue. The dance team and cheer team both performed an energetic routine showcasing their school spirit. Students also played class games and battled for the spirit stick. The seniors came out on top, showing the most school spirit and winning the stick.
“I like cheering in front of my grade,” said sophomore Caroline Gregory.
“It was really fun, I liked doing the class chants,” said sophomore Ciana Williams. “I also liked the adrenaline from all the people.”
