Varsity Coed Cheer makes Blackman proud as nine-time national champions
The Blackman Varsity Coed Cheer team scored higher than 40 other teams in the small coed division at the National High School Cheerleading Championships last weekend.
The championship was located at the ESPN complex of Disney’s Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida, from February 11 to February 12, 2022.
The team scored a 90.2 in round one preliminaries, which placed them in first and allowed them to skip semi finals. In finals, they scored a 90.2 once again, winning by 3 points overall to the second place team, Hudson High School from Hudson, Florida.
Blackman cheerleaders have been national champions for two years in a row, including last year when the championships were held virtually. This is the ninth time they have been named champions, beginning in 2010.
