Blackman and Riverdale team up in “penny war” before their annual showdown
Blackman High School is participating in a “Penny War” from August 30-Sept. 3 to raise money for Waverly High School in Humphreys County, Tennessee, where there are many people in need due to the flooding.
This competition is against Riverdale, as the football game this week is against them.
Grade levels are competing against each other, along with Riverdale. Every coin that is placed in your class bucket will count as a point (penny=1 point, dime=10 points, etc.).
If you put a paper bill in any bucket, it will deduct points from that class (but still raise money).
