Recently, The Blackman Voice Staff caught up with our Athletes of The Month for October of 2020. Congratulations to Todd Lark and Molly James! 

Todd Lark, Senior, Football 

How many years have you been playing football? 

Lark: I’ve been playing since I was 4 years old, so I’ve been playing for about 13 years. 

Do you plan to continue playing football after high school? 

Lark: Yes, I plan to play Football in college and hopefully someday play in the NFL. 

What is your favorite thing about playing football?  

Lark: My favorite thing about playing Football is legally being able to hit a man as hard as I can. 

What is some advice or inspiration you could give to other athletes? 

Lark: I would tell other athletes to work hard and you can do anything you put your mind to. 

What is a random fact about you? 

Lark: I like to chill with my friends.  

Molly James, Junior, Cross Country 

How many years have you been running Cross Country? 

James: I ran Track in my freshman year at Stewarts Creek, but not Cross Country so this is my second year running Cross Country. 

Do you plan on continuing Cross Country after high school? 

James: I hope to run Cross Country after high school, hopefully in college. 

What is your favorite part about running Cross Country? 

James: My favorite part about Cross Country is the team and the coaches. Everyone is very supportive and we’re a big family.  

What is some advice or inspiration you could give to other athletes? 

James: Some advice I would give to other athletes is to be consistent with your training and to trust your coaches.  

What is a completely random fact about you?  

James: I have seven cats
