Halloween is one of the best times of year to be a teenager. You get to be who or what you want to be for one night of the year! Candy can also be a huge factor, especially if it’s the only time of year you get candy. What teenager doesn’t want candy?

  1. You and a group of friends can go to one of the many haunted houses/woods that are right around Murfreesboro. Deadland Haunted Woods and Haunted Hell are popular for the high school age group. Deadland is located off of Murfreesboro Road towards Lebanon; it is open Friday-Sunday from 7 p.m.-1 a.m. Haunted Hell is located in Antioch and is open Friday-Sunday from 8 p.m.-2 a.m.
  2. Halloween parties are also a heavy hitter for high school kids. All your friends get to do fun Halloween games, such as bobbing for apples or pumpkin carving contests.
  3. Go trick or treating with your siblings or with your friends’ siblings. You can use them as an excuse to get candy!
  4. Stay inside and watch some of the best Halloween movies ever. On the TV station FreeForm, they have a program called 31 Nights of Halloween, where they play some of the best Halloween movies such as Hocus Pocus and The Addams Family.
  5. Give out candy to all the trick or treaters in your neighborhood. This may be one of the safer options to do since Halloween falls on a Wednesday this year. Seeing all the little kids in their cute costumes can make you feel nostalgic about when you were a little kid, and makes you think about all the fun times you had when you were little and went trick or treating with your friends.

Halloween is one of those times of year that you can be who you want and you can also somewhat act how you want.

Relive your childhood, eat some candy, go get scared to death with your friends. Have a scary good time this halloween!
