Weekend in the ‘Boro 11/3-11/5

Acorn Festival 

When: November 4 @ 11:30 AM 

Where: Oaklands Park, located on the corner of Roberts Street and Highland Avenue in Murfreesboro. 

Cost: Wristbands are $8 when purchased in advance at acornfestival.org and will be available to purchase at the gate with cash or check for $10. 

The event will showcase local and national Indie Rock, Folk, and Americana talent. There will be food truck vendors to purchase from. 

 

10th Annual Cookin’ to Build 

When: November 4 @ 11 AM – 1:30 PM 

Where: The Murfreesboro Square 

Cost: $20 

Buy a bowl for $20 and get all-you-can-eat soups and stews made by a variety of chefs. Proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity. Visit rchfh.org for details or purchase bowls at the event. 

 

‘Catch Me If You Can: The Musical’

WhenNovember 3-19. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sunday matinees. 

Where: Center for the Arts, 110 W. College St. in Murfreesboro 

Cost: $11 to $15 

The musical is based on a true story of teenager Frank Abagnale Jr., who runs away from home to escape his morally questionable parents. 

 

Pug Fest 

When: November 4 @ 10 AM – 2PM 

Where: Barfield Crescent Park, 697 Veterans Parkway in Murfreesboro 

Cost: Free
