Millennial teens have their very own language, also known as slang. Slang is a powerful tool that conveys messages in shortened forms.
We use words like “lit” and “fam” to talk to each other more (or less) efficiently.
Past generations have also had their own slang words. In fact, some of the coolest slang words from other time periods, like the 90s, are still in use today. Slang use was at an all- time high during this decade.

- Bounce- (v) to leave
- Scrub- (n) a player who has nothing to offer
- Crib- (n) a place of residence
- ButtMunch- (adj.) an annoying person
- Buggin’- (v) to freak out or act ridiculous
- Cheddar- (n) money
- Cool Beans-(n) an expression of agreement
- Jiggy- (v) energetic
- Schwing- (adj.) an exclamation of appreciation or attraction
- Off the hook- (adj.) when something is new or exciting
