6 Conspiracy Theories That Will Make You Rethink Everything You Know

  1. Reptilians

This conspiracy is that many of our leaders and public figures are actually Reptilians, or Lizard People. The idea of reptilians was popularized by David Icke, a conspiracy theorist who claims shape-shifting reptilian aliens control Earth by taking on human form and gaining political power to manipulate human societies. Icke has claimed on multiple occasions that many of the world leaders are, or are possessed by, so-called reptilians.

  1. The Denver Airport

Denver International Airport has a collection of conspiracy theories. These theories most commonly claim that DIA is a new secret headquarters used by the Illuminati, New World Order, Neo-Nazis, or Reptoids. These claims are usually based on murals, sculptures, and other engravings claimed to be secret code or “alien” language. The murals depict very odd pictures that could represent death and oppression. The dedication marker does contain the Freemasons crest, and there are two Freemason grand lodges in Colorado.

  1. Paul is Dead

“Paul is dead” is a conspiracy theory alleging that Paul McCartney of the English rock band, the Beatles, died in 1966 and was secretly replaced by a lookalike. Hundreds of supposed clues to McCartney’s death have been reported by fans and followers of the legend. One example is the suspicion that the words “I buried Paul” are spoken by McCartney’s bandmate, John Lennon, at the end of the song, “Strawberry Fields Forever.” Another is the interpretation of the Abbey Road album cover as symbolizing a funeral procession, where Lennon, dressed in white, symbolizes the heavenly figure. Ringo Starr, dressed in black, symbolizes the undertaker, George Harrison, in denim, symbolizes the gravedigger, and McCartney, barefoot and out of step with the others, symbolizes the corpse.

  1. The Men in Black

In popular culture and UFO conspiracy theories, Men in Black (MIB) are men dressed in black suits that claim to be government agents that harass or threaten UFO witnesses to keep them quiet about what they have seen. It is sometimes implied that they may be aliens themselves. The term is also frequently used to describe mysterious men working for unknown organizations and other branches of government allegedly designed to protect secrets or perform other strange activities.

A video was captured of two men in black that entered a hotel in Canada who started asking questions about one of the hotel employees. The stories say that the employee in question had recently seen a UFO and had told others about his experience.

  1. FEMA Camps

The FEMA camps conspiracy theory holds that FEMA is planning to imprison US citizens in concentration camps. This is typically described as following the imposition of martial law in the United States after a major disaster or crisis. In some versions of the theory, only suspected dissidents will be imprisoned. In more extreme versions, large numbers of US citizens will be imprisoned for the purposes of extermination as a New World Order is established. One of the most popular accusations of where the FEMA camps are located is the popular superstore Walmart.

  1. The Mandela Effect

“The Mandela effect” is what the internet is calling those curious instances in which many of us are certain we remember something a particular way, but it turns out we’re incorrect. The name of the theory comes from many people feeling certain that they could remember Nelson Mandela dying while he was still in prison back in the ’80s. Contrary to what many thought, Mandela’s actual death was on Dec. 5, 2013, despite some people claiming to remember seeing clips of his funeral on TV.

Another example is that “The Berenstein Bears” are actually called “the Berenstain Bears.” However, many people don’t remember it ending with “-stain” but with “-stein.”
