Prom Checklist
Prom is rapidly approaching, and it’s time to start finalizing all the details for the perfect prom night. Here is a checklist to make sure you have everything you need!
- Dress alterations/ tuxedo rental: You have to make sure you have everything you need to wear the night of prom. Alterations and tuxedo fittings allow everything to fit as they should and look their best.
- Shoes: You can’t go barefoot to prom! Pick shoes that match your dress, are fashionable, and are comfortable enough to dance the whole night.
- Accessories: These are optional, but they can make an outfit shine. What complements your outfit? Do you need a purse to hold your money and phone? Make sure to think about this before the big night.
- Appointments: If you plan on getting your hair or makeup done, you need to call ahead of time. There will be tons of other classmates needing the same services, so you don’t want to be stuck not being able to get ready. Rushing doesn’t make for an enjoyable experience!
- Reservations: In order to make sure you’re able to be seated in time to eat, especially on a Saturday night, you should pick where you would like to eat. Call ahead to ensure you have a reserved table that night.
- Pictures: Find the cost of your pictures beforehand. Make sure you are aware if your picked picture venue charges a fee. Loveless will be taking pictures the night of prom.
- Finding the Venue: “Drive through out MTSU’s campus to find parking and the Student Union building before the night of prom. We had students driving around for hours trying to find it last year,” said Sara Sims, prom coordinator.
If you follow this checklist, you’ll be prepared for the big night!
