The Bonnaroo Experience
As summer gets closer, that means Bonnaroo is just around the corner. With the lineup coming out and tickets going on sale on the 11th, it’s time to start preparing for the best four days of the summer. I’m here to help you face the heat and enjoy the music.
“There’s nothing better than spicy pie and Amish donuts at 2 in the morning,” stated Emma Ferris.
When purchasing your tickets, don’t forget to include a parking or camping pass. You will need one of these to enter the festival. If you buy a parking pass, you are given a “first come, first serve” parking spot every day, so do not plan on parking in the same spot daily. If you camp, you can either camp inside of your car or outside next to your car. If you’re camping, make sure you pack accordingly.
The days leading up to Bonnaroo can be hectic, so here’s a list of supplies to pack to help you survive the next four days. A few essentials that you should not leave the house without are rain gear, extra shoes, bug spray/sunscreen, and sunglasses. You should also make sure to bring enough clothing, shampoo, a flashlight, and of course, camping gear. Most importantly, make sure you bring enough money; you’ll want to make sure you can eat all the food you want and buy the best arts and crafts. Check out this link for a more in-depth list: https://www.bonnaroo.com/information/#faq-festival-information-3793 These items may seem small, but they could make or break the week. If you forget any of these items, don’t fret; there’s a convenient general store on site where you can purchase any necessities you might need.
So, you’ve packed everything you need for the next four fun-filled days and get in the car ready for your journey when you realize you don’t know how to get to ‘roo. Don’t worry: these simple directions will get you there in no time. If you’re coming from Rutherford County, take I-24 towards Chattanooga. You can even just put Manchester, TN in your GPS. Once you get close to the festival, you’ll see signs directing you the rest of the way.
If you have a question about the festival, check out their website, bonnaroo.com. Once you enter, get ready for the best week of your life. Just remember, hydrate and have fun. You’ll have the best time meeting new people, hanging with friends, and listening to great music!
