Blackman Volleyball
On October 6th, the Blackman volleyball team lost in a semi-final game that ended their season.
After knocking out Smyrna early three sets to none, the Lady Blaze advanced to the semi-finals where they played Oakland. Oakland came out on top winning three sets to one, which meant the Lady Blaze’s season came to a close.
“Although we lost, we still fought our hardest,” stated junior Anslee Strevel.
Since finishing third in the district, Blackman was looking for their chance to get to regions play.
“We had a lot of ups and downs, but we came together when we needed each other,” said senior Kelci Williams.
The Lady Blaze fell short of their goals, but the Blackman community is still proud of them. They plan to come back next year ready for redemption.
