D.R.A.M.

D.R.A.M. is an American singer and rapper who created the hit, “Cha Cha“. He was born on August 3, 1988 in Germany. He was born with the name Shelley Marshaun Massenburg-Smith, but quickly changed it when he stepped on the scene in 2014. He released “Cha Cha” back in 2015 which awarded him with features on songs by Chance the Rapper(“D.R.A.M Sings Special”), Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment(“$”), and SZA(“Caretaker”). His first album was called “#1Epic” and was released on March 3, 2015. His style of music can be described as R&B and neo-soul with a twist of trap. He raps and sings about his start up using jazzy acoustics and sick beats to wrap up his ideas. His new, hit single is called “Broccoli” featuring Lil Yachty. It was released during the summer of 2016. He also has a new single he named “Cute” which is about a girl he found on Instagram who he thinks is cute and proceeds to talk about going on a date with her. Songs like these really show his creative and current spin on traditional events that are relatable to people in our generation.
