A native of Houston, Texas, Madeline Burford is an English teacher.  She received her undergraduate degree at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville and her graduate degree at MTSU.

Burford’s mother inspired her to become a teacher.

“My favorite thing about Blackman is the welcoming and supportive community,” said Ms. Burford.

Besides English, Burford’s interests include playing volleyball, painting, and decorating. She also loves her pet rabbit named Houdini. Her favorite band is The Killers, and she enjoys listening to “Bonnaroo music.”
