A native of Houston Texas, Madeline Burford is an English teacher here at BHS.

She is an alumnus of both Trevecca Nazarene University and Middle Tennessee State Univeristy. Her mother, who is also a teacher, inspired her to  teach.

Blackman High is not only special to its students but also to its teachers.

“My favorite thing about Blackman is the welcoming and supportive community,” stated Burford.

Besides English, Burford’s interests include playing volleyball, painting, and decorating. She enjoys listening to American rock band The Killers. She also loves her pet rabbit, Houdini.
