Kobe Bean Bryant is considered one of the greatest NBA players to ever play the game. He has accomplished so much in his lifetime. Bryant is now playing his 20th season of basketball in the NBA and is planning on retiring after this season. These are just a few of his special moments of his career:
In 1996, Bryant was drafted into the NBA 13th overall pick in the 1st round. He was only eighteen at the time.
Fifteen days later, Bryant was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. He has played with the Lakers since, and he just recently broke the record for the most seasons played on one team.
In 2006, Bryant scored 81 points in a single game against the Toronto Raptors. In the first two quarters, he scored 26 points and ended the last two quarters with 55 points. The Lakers finished the game with the score of 122-104.
A year later, he received his first MVP award after finishing the season as the Western Conference Champions with the 57-25 record. They finished the season after being eliminated in the NBA Finals 2-4.Kobe Bryant received his first MVP award after finishing the 2007-2008 season.
In 2010, Bryant and the Lakers won the NBA Finals in a series against the Boston Celtics. The series lasted seven games, with game seven ending with the score of 83-79. This was Bryant’s fifth NBA championship.
