Bonnaroo 2016 Predictions

Every year, the world (well, at least our world) waits in suspense for the largest summer event. . . Bonnaroo. This January the suspense keeps growing, anticipating the lineup for the 15th anniversary of the music festival. With that in mind, let’s talk about who is going to kill it on the main stage this year!

Our 2016 headliner predictions are: Radiohead with Red Hot Chili Peppers or Coldplay with Pearl Jam.

Radiohead has been rumored to be headlining Bonnaroo since November of last year. The rumor has grown when it was discovered the band “coincidentally” has an open space in their tour this year. Coincidence. . . WE THINK NOT!

Red Hot Chili Peppers has not appeared at Bonnaroo for four years, the last time being in 2012 with Radiohead. Red Hot Chili Peppers is releasing a new album sometime this year, which is often a good indicator of a headliner of ‘Roo.  Also, we really want them to be there *crossed fingers*.

Next is Coldplay, who just last December released their new album entitled A Head Full of Dreams. With completely new material, performing at this year’s Super Bowl with the queen herself, Beyoncé, as well as having never graced the Bonnaroo stage before, 2016 could be Coldplay’s year.

Finally, Pearl Jam recently confirmed they will be going on a 2016 United States tour, which also happens to have a four day gap the dates of ‘Roo. Combined with the fact that it has been eight years since Pearl Jam was last at Bonnaroo, this tour gap makes them likely headliners.
